We found a dream location for a one-of-a-kind rollerskating retreat in Sri Lanka, February 2027.

Imagine twice-daily skate workshops, ocean air, and a beautiful boutique hotel with a skate ramp, mini skatepark, and dance floor, all just steps from the beach.

This week will be fully dedicated to skating, with two experienced rollerskate coaches guiding morning and afternoon sessions each day. You will explore new jam skate moves, build confidence on the dance floor, and feel more comfortable in the skatepark, whether you are refining foundations or ready to progress into new skills. Expect focused practice, real progression, and a supportive space to grow.

There will be daily yoga to support recovery, mobility, and body awareness, helping you integrate what you are learning on your skates.

Beyond skating, there is space to truly experience Sri Lanka. You will have the option to book surf lessons, treat yourself to a massage, or simply relax at the beach and soak in the sun.

We will head out on a special excursion to a waterfall and a rock temple, enjoy a local cooking demonstration, and share a meal at our favourite rice and curry restaurant.

Our founder Nicky has been coming to Sri Lanka since 2017. Over the years, this island has become a second home through building relationships, discovering hidden gems, and learning the rhythms of local life. That depth adds another layer to this retreat. You are not just visiting Sri Lanka, you are being welcomed into a place that is already deeply known and loved.

This retreat blends skill-building, tropical adventure, deep rest, and playful connection in an intimate group setting.

''This retreat was pure magic! A perfect mix of movement, laughter, connection, and calm. I arrived a little nervous and left feeling completely alive, supported, and inspired.''

YOUR HOSTS

  • NICKY

INNER SPACE FOUNDER & TRAUMA INFORMED EMBODIED YOGA FACILITATOR

Nicky is a yoga and somatics facilitator, roller skater, and baby-wave surfer with a big love for movement, nature, and the simple joy of being alive. Her work blends the playful with the deeply meaningful, creating spaces where movement becomes medicine, laughter is part of the practice, and coming home to your body feels natural and fun.

Her own journey began in her early twenties, when yoga became more than a practice; it became a way back to herself. Through breath, stillness, and movement, she rediscovered freedom, self-love, and strength.

Over the past twelve years, this path has shaped her mission to guide women back to their essence through embodied movement, community, and joy. Her sessions invite presence and play, helping you reconnect to your body and your spark.

During this retreat, Nicky will guide you through yin yoga, somatic movement, and playful flow practices designed to awaken your natural rhythm and remind you how good it feels to move freely. She’ll be supported by local yoga facilitators.

  • HILDE

ROLLERSKATE COACH & SKATE GOSSIP FOUNDER

Hilde started rollerskating in skateparks, and soon after dancing on wheels. She teaches rollerskate dance, performs in shows, and founded the Zurich-based community Skate Gossip, where she organizes meetups, street skates and dance sessions.

Fashion and Music are an important part of her skating. She creates and sews many of her own outfits to match her collection of skates. As a singer and piano player, music strongly influences how she moves and teaches.

Her classes focus on dance. After learning the basic skills, she loves to quickly introduces simple dance steps and shows how to connect movements and find flow on skates.

WHY INNER SPACE RETREATS?

Inner Space Retreats are more than rollerskate or yoga getaways. They are spaces we create with intention, care, and a lot of love. Spaces where you can feel safe to move, to grow, and to be fully yourself.

In Sri Lanka, we gather in a small and intimate group. We blend progression on your skates with time to rest and integrate. Play with depth. Adventure with moments of stillness. There is space to challenge yourself, and space to simply exhale.

Nicky has been coming to Sri Lanka since 2017. Over the years, this island has become a second home. The connections, the hidden gems, the rhythm of life here — all of that weaves into the retreat in a way that you can truly feel.

It is never about doing more. It is about feeling more. More confidence. More connection. More you.

This retreat changed me as a person.

It was my first retreat and I went in nervous and overwhelmed, but I left with a full heart, deep connections, and a new sense of freedom. The energy, the yoga, the group meals, the rollerskating — everything felt intentional, nourishing, and full of love. I’m already booked for next year!

The Inner Space Retreat in Portugal was wonderful!

Nicky thought of every detail and created a beautiful space for 12 strangers to come together and share their love for rollerskating and yoga. The schedule was perfect — the right amount of activity and chill-out time. I definitely came home a different person.

  • As a small business, we pour so much care and energy into creating these retreats — and with limited spots available, each booking has a big impact. For that reason, we have to be strict with our cancellation policy to protect the sustainability of what we offer.

    Here’s how it works:

    • A €500 deposit is required to secure your spot. This deposit is non-refundable.

    • If you cancel before July 14, 2026, you’ll receive a 50% refund (minus the deposit).

    • If you cancel after July 16, 2026, we’re unable to offer a refund — unless your cancellation is due to exceptional personal circumstances.

We truly understand that life can shift. If something serious or unforeseen happens — like serious illness, injury, or a major life event — please reach out. We handle these cases with compassion and may be able to transfer a part of your payment toward a future retreat.

We also recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers cancellations, illness, and travel disruptions — just to be safe.

  • We require all guests to have travel insurance to protect both you and us in case something unexpected happens.

Travel insurance gives you peace of mind, covering things like trip cancellations, flight delays, lost baggage, illness, or medical emergencies. While we hold the safest space possible, we can’t control life’s curveballs, and being insured helps ensure you’re cared for if anything arises.

Because we’re a small business with a clear cancellation policy, we can’t offer full refunds for last-minute changes. That’s why having travel insurance is essential — it protects your investment and helps you travel with confidence.

Please make sure your policy covers your full retreat payment as well as any personal travel needs.
