SRI LANKA ‘26
EXPLORE SRI LANKA & RECONNECT WITH YOURSELF
This retreat is an invitation to come home. To your body, your breath, your truth.
Surrounded by jungle, ocean, and the magnetic energy of Sri Lanka, we’ll spend 7 days reconnecting through yoga, somatic practices, play, and nervous system healing.
You’ll move, rest, explore, and remember what it feels like to be fully alive.
This is our most intimate and transformative retreat, with a maximum of 11 guests. These small, intentional groups allow for real connection — a space where sisterhood naturally forms, where you’re seen, supported, and held exactly as you are.
This is more than a retreat, it’s a journey of inner and outer discovery.
We’ll explore wild nature, local culture, and the quiet wisdom that surfaces when you slow down and listen. Whether you’re surfing, skating, journaling, or simply watching the sun melt into the sea, this is your space to soften, realign, and return to yourself.

WHY INNER SPACE RETREATS?
Inner Space Retreats are born from a desire to offer something real: intimate, embodied, and deeply nourishing.
We keep our groups small, just 11 women, so that every voice is heard, and every story has space. You’ll be held in a container of honesty, softness, and sisterhood, where transformation feels not only possible, but natural.
It’s not about doing more or becoming someone else — it’s about softening into who you already are.
We weave together yoga, somatic practices, breathwork, play and moments of stillness to help you land in your body and feel safe there. This is a space to listen inward — and be gently held through it all.
WHY NERVOUS SYSTEM REGULATION & SOMATICS?
Because true transformation begins when the body feels safe.
Your nervous system is always guiding the way you move through life, and when it’s dysregulated, even rest can feel out of reach. When your nervous system is supported, something shifts — not just in your thoughts, but in your cells.
Somatic practices bring you home. They help you release, soften, and expand into more of yourself — not through pushing, but through presence.
You’ll be guided through gentle, embodied tools that support nervous system regulation and create space for emotional and energetic release.
This is a return to inner steadiness.
A deep exhale.
A remembering of your natural rhythm, your inner safety, your wholeness.
WHY PLAY & EXPLORATION?
Healing doesn’t always have to be serious and heavy.
At Inner Space Retreats, we believe that play is not just fun — it’s medicine. It softens the edges, sparks joy, and reconnects us with parts of ourselves that often get forgotten in day-to-day life.
That’s why play is always woven into the essence of our retreats. Surfing, skating, and exploring awaken your joy, your aliveness, your curiosity. These moments also give you time to breathe, to process, and to integrate the inner work in a natural, embodied way.
We explore the land — and ourselves — with wonder. Because movement and adventure can be medicine too.
WHY SRI LANKA?
Sri Lanka has a way of touching you deeply — through its soulfulness, its aliveness, and the grounding presence of the land itself.
The beautiful coastline, warm waters, hidden waterfalls, vibrant colors, and slow pace create the perfect backdrop for rest and remembering. This island invites you to move slower, to breathe deeper, and to feel more connected — not just to nature, but to yourself.
It’s a place that holds you gently while inviting expansion. A land that helps you see more clearly, and feel more fully.
For our founder Nicky, it’s a second home — and we’d love to welcome you into its magic.

NICKY
INNER SPACE FOUNDER & TRAUMA INFORMED EMBODIED YOGA TEACHER
Nicky is a yoga teacher, space holder, roller skater, and baby-wave surfer with a deep love for movement, nature, and creating meaningful connection. She’s devoted to the art of coming home — again and again — to the wisdom of the body.
Her journey began in her early twenties, when yoga became more than a practice. It became a path back to herself. Through movement, breath, and stillness, she reconnected with her body, released old trauma, and rediscovered self-love, joy, and strength.
Over the past twelve years, this path has shaped her mission: to guide women back to their essence. She creates spaces rooted in safety, truth, and joy — where you can remember what it feels like to truly belong: to yourself, your body, and this moment.
In Sri Lanka, Nicky will guide you through slow, intentional practices blending Hatha, Yin, Embodied Flow, and somatic movement, woven with meditation and breathwork. Her sessions are gentle invitations to slow down, soothe the nervous system, and listen to the quiet wisdom within.
With each practice, she invites you to soften into yourself, unravel layers of tension, and reconnect with your sense of play, presence, and possibility. Whether you’re moving or resting, laughing or feeling, all of you is welcome.
To deepen this experience, Nicky also invites experienced yoga teachers, sound healers, and facilitators she knows and trusts personally to hold space alongside her. These co-creators bring their own grounded wisdom and heart-led presence to the retreat, adding depth, connection, and care to the journey.
As a trauma-informed teacher with over 950 hours of training and more than five years of experience, Nicky offers accessible, inclusive spaces that meet you exactly where you are — with compassion, care, and curiosity.

WHAT OUR PREVIOUS GUESTS ARE SAYING
SASKIA DE WERK ‘24
‘‘In March of 2024, I joined Nicky's yoga retreat in Sri Lanka. I cannot believe how much that week has helped me ground. I was immensely stuck in life after going through a divorce and needed to clear my head.
Nicky helped me during the retreat by her own calm demeanour, her support, and the joy that radiates from her. Due to a physical limitation, I felt like I was a burden, but she was patient whilst helping me through all the yoga poses. Offering help where I needed it and taught me that it isn't about doing to poses 'properly'. That there is nothing shameful in needing extra tools to feel comfortable whilst executing those poses. To accept and release.
All in all, I recommend Nicky's teachings and coaching 100%. Hopefully, I will be able to join the Portugal retreat in 2025. I look forward to continuing my journey and am proud of where I am now!’’
LIENEKE GROLLE ‘25
‘‘Wow what an absolutely magical retreat Nicky has put together. This experience helped so much in connecting to your inner child and get comfortable being your authentic self. It was super playful and loving. Nicky created such a safe space and you feel she embodies everything she teaches.
The combination of Nicky and Maia hosting was wonderful, the yin and the yang. With beautiful yin classes to connect to your body, and amazing kundalini and somatics to release! I loved how this retreat was not only focused on yoga but also playtime with lots of dancing, a kayak sunrise, surfing, skating. That is definitely unique and would absolutely recommend experiencing it for yourself.
The connection made with the lovely woman there was beautiful and had soooo many moments of joy, magic, laughter, while there was also space for crying, vulnerability and weirdness. Thank you so much for this wonderful week!’’
MAIA BENAIM ‘24
‘‘The Sri Lanka retreat was so life-changing. I will definitely be joining in the future to other retreats. Perfect balance between play and practice, and such beautiful people. Nicky is so good at making everyone feel like family, and packing up the day with wholesome activities but leaving space for rest, integration, and self-reflection. Loved my time there and would recommend these retreats anywhere.’’
JAZMIN RIBEIRO ‘25
‘‘Nicky and Maia's yoga and surf retreat in Sri Lanka was so special and an experience that will stay with me forever. Nicky created a safe space for us and as a group of strangers we became completely ourselves and connected, opening up to emotions and healing. I loved the combination of yoga and playful energy to bring out the inner child.
I hope to attend another retreat in the future!’’

As a small business, we pour so much care and energy into creating these retreats — and with limited spots available, each booking has a big impact. For that reason, we have to be strict with our cancellation policy to protect the sustainability of what we offer.
Here’s how it works:
A €450 deposit is required to secure your spot. This deposit is non-refundable.
If you cancel before November 30, 2025, you’ll receive a 50% refund (minus the deposit).
If you cancel after November 30, 2025, we’re unable to offer a refund — unless your cancellation is due to exceptional personal circumstances.
We truly understand that life can shift. If something serious or unforeseen happens — like serious illness, injury, or a major life event — please reach out. We handle these cases with compassion and may be able to transfer a part of your payment toward a future retreat.
We also recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers cancellations, illness, and travel disruptions — just to be safe.
-
We require all guests to have travel insurance to protect both you and us in case something unexpected happens.
Travel insurance gives you peace of mind, covering things like trip cancellations, flight delays, lost baggage, illness, or medical emergencies. While we hold the safest space possible, we can’t control life’s curveballs, and being insured helps ensure you’re cared for if anything arises.
Because we’re a small business with a clear cancellation policy, we can’t offer full refunds for last-minute changes. That’s why having travel insurance is essential — it protects your investment and helps you travel with confidence.
Please make sure your policy covers your full retreat payment as well as any personal travel needs.
-

Yes, your host and main yoga teacher Nicky has a lot of experience in teaching yoga to beginners. She will always give variations in her classes, so you can choose the one that works the best for your body and mind in the given moment. Nicky did 900 hr of yoga teacher trainings with her main focus on Hatha, which is a perfect style of yoga to start your yoga journey with. Hatha is a slower form of yoga which will help you to get a better understanding of the alignment and benefits of the yoga poses.
We believe that a yoga retreat is the perfect way to get a better understanding of yoga and its healing benefits. We keep the groups of our retreats small so there is a lot of personal attention and 1:1 time with our teachers. There will be different types of yoga like Hatha, Yin, Slow Fow, and Kundalini, so you can learn which one works the best for your body and mind.
-
Yes — absolutely. Many of our guests come alone, and it’s one of the most beautiful parts of the retreat experience. Traveling solo is a powerful way to meet new people, and you’ll be part of the group from the moment you arrive.
You’ll be held in a welcoming, non-judgmental space, and we’ll create a WhatsApp group before the retreat so you can connect with the other women ahead of time. By the end of the week, many leave with lifelong connections and a sense of sisterhood.
-
Yes, you need a tourist visa for Sri Lanka, which you can easily get through the Sri Lankan goverment website online.

Yes, we cater to special dietary requirements. The included breakfast and dinner meals are a daily-changing buffet, meaning you can choose your own super tasty food with gluten-free options. Sri Lanka is a great travel destination when you are eating plant-based. The Sri Lankan cuisine has a lot of vegan and vegetarian options. If you have any other dietary requirements please let us know when booking your spot.
